The Rust Manor House | Leesburg VA | Matt & Lindsey's Wedding
This past June our associate photographer, Lexi, photographed the wedding of Lindsey and Matt at The Rust Manor House in Leesburg, Virginia. This venue sits on a 68-acre nature sanctuary and offers both a house and tent option for your wedding along with catering from Great Blue Heron Catering. Both the bride and groom got ready on location as well and had a letter and gift exchange around an open door. This is always an option for couples who opt out of a first look but still want a moment to themselves prior to the ceremony. Make sure you check out these photos below as this was a very emotional moment that is sure to be cherished.
The ceremony was held outside on the grounds directly under a large tree- it was beautiful. The groom stayed turned around prior to his bride coming down the aisle and turned forward when she did. Lindsey was brought down the aisle by both her mother and mother's boyfriend and, after a kiss, given to Matt. Lindsey's dad had passed away years prior and to keep him with her she had sewn in one of his ties to her dress. Matt and Lindsey also took part in a wine mixing ceremony where they each pour separate wines into a decanter to create their own distinct blend. They then shared their handwritten vows, exchanged rings and had their first kiss as husband and wife!
After the ceremony and many hugs we took the family and bridal party over for more photos outside. We even had little parasails for bridesmaids that, yes, even the groomsmen had to sport! Lindsey then changed into a her mother's wedding dress that was refashioned for her. The reception was held in a fully equipped tent outside that was decorated from top to bottom with rustic decor. There were gold accents and plates, along with large flowers strewn across the white linens which really made this space beautiful. Once Matt and Lindsey were announced into their reception and they shared their first dance, this party was off! There were sweets galore, drinks, yard games, dancing and even a glow stick exit! This reception was very fun to capture and we wish Matt and Lindsey the best!
