This past October, Rodney photographed the wedding of Aspen and Jon at Springfield Manor in Thurmont, Maryland. This venue is unique as it has an on location reception and ceremony area, but also a vineyard and guest house. Upon arriving at the venue Rodney and his team found the bride and groom getting ready so they got to work documenting the morning. After all the details were captured Aspen and Jon exchanged letters before Aspen got in her dress. Once everyone was ready we went outside for the first look as well as bridal party formals.
Prior to the ceremony Aspen took a moment to give her grandfather an embroidered handkerchief. This was a very heartfelt moment as her grandfather was going to be the one to walk her down the aisle. Once everyone was in place the ceremony began outside and everyone made their way down the aisle and took their place. Aspen was brought down the aisle by her grandfather, and given away to her groom, Jon. The couple was graced with beautiful weather as they said their vows, exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as husband and wife!
After the ceremony, as the rest of the guests began cocktail hour, Rodney began taking family formals and then he snuck the new bride and groom out to the vineyard for some extra shots. As the guests found their seats and the bridal party was announced in and the reception began. Aspen and Jon shared their first dance as husband and wife and cut their cake after dinner service. For the remainder of the night the guests danced away! To top off this evening the bride and groom ended their wedding with a sparkler exit! Aspen and Jon were a phenomenal couple and we wish them all the happiness of marriage!
