Last month Rodney traveled down across the bridge to Kent Island, Maryland to capture the wedding of Amanda and Jimmy. Their wedding was held at Silver Swan Bayside, which meets directly up to the edge of the water and a marina sits behind the venue. The girls got ready at a local home and the full bridal party met up at the venue. The ceremony was set outside as well as the bride and groom’s first look. These pictures are beautiful, make sure you check them out below! The bride also snuck in a letter exchange for her and husband to be and a first look with her father and step-dad!
Ceremony time was set for just under an hour and Rodney was busy taking photographs of the bridal party when the wind picked up. Everyone rushed inside expecting to get doused with rain, but instead the wind just continued to gain speed, so much speed that all equipment had to be brought in and chairs and outside items were tied down. And suddenly all was clear, the storm flew by and the ceremony could be held outdoors.
Once the wind calmed and photos were finished, guests began to arrive and take their seats. The ceremony began as the bridal party made their way down the aisle. Amanda was then brought down the aisle by her father and given to her groom, Jimmy. Then the bride and groom took part in a wine mixing ceremony, shared their vows, exchanged rings and had their first kiss as husband and wife!
Right after the ceremony, Rodney took a few more photos of the bridal party and captured all of the family formals. Amanda and Jimmy were announced into their reception space and went straight into their first dance. The reception area was broken into two areas, one a formally set dining room and the other was space for both dancing and the bar. This bride and groom dined, cut their cake and danced the night away! They let us take some gorgeous sunset photos and even ended the night with a sparkler exit! We wish you the best Amanda and Jimmy!
