This past August, Lexi captured the wedding of Rachel and Lester in Carroll Valley, PA at Liberty Mountain Resort. This couple chose to get married at the Boulder Ridge location and this is where Lexi began capturing all the girls getting ready for the day. The ladies were decked out in plaid button ups all morning until their hair and makeup was finished and then they slipped into their blush dresses. Once everyone was ready we took the groomsmen and bridesmaids outside separately to get some large group shots prior to the ceremony that included ball caps, sunglasses, and a few drinks!
The ceremony was held outside at Boulder Ridge, right along the edge of the hill and in front of a gazebo. Rachel and Lester’s family and bridal party made their way down the aisle and took their places for the wedding service. Rachel was brought down the aisle by her father and given away to her groom. The bride and groom exchanged rings, declared their vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife! Once the ceremony was over we started capturing family formals, bridal party shots, and the new couple.
Tragically, Lester’s best man, Travis, passed away in an accident a few months prior to the wedding so Travis’ mother took his place in a few photos, which was very heartwarming.
The reception area was decorated beautifully with country florals, hunting anecdotes, and southern charm throughout. Once photos were finished the bridal party was announced in, who were followed by the new Mr. & Mrs. that went immediately into their first dance. Then each of the bridesmaids gave a beautiful toast that was followed by all the groomsmen giving a toast that would have made Travis, the best man, very proud. Following this, dinner was served and cake was cut. Then both Rachel and Lester danced with their parent and Lester even danced with Travis’ mother which left no eye dry throughout the song. It was truly beautiful. The rest of the evening was full of dancing, bouquet and garter tosses and ended with a sparkler send off! Rachel and Lester were an amazing couple and we wish you both the very best!
